Space.

The final frontier.

Also a nice thing to have at dinner.

Introducing Les Noces du Figaro, the downtown version of Figaro in Los Feliz. Think of it as Figaro 2.0; an updated version that has loads more space, say 18,000 square feet of it. White tiles, high ceilings and a patisserie is your start up page. After a complete boot choose between an outdoor patio, the main dining room or the lounge – 18,000 square feet gives you plenty of options.

Should you choose the main dining room, expect wood paneled ceilings and comfy leather booths. Added bonus in sitting right of the bar: they screen silent movies on the wall. Speaking of bar expect the usual suspects like pastis, cognac and French wines (le duh) but do not be surprised that a mixologist has sprinkled in a fair bit of bourbon as well.

Beef Bourguignon is familiar fare from the Los Feliz menu, but Chef Antony teeters on the modern side. Puff pastries filled with all sorts of crustaceans, leeks and cream are a welcomed app in this Figaro version.

One could call it a night with a walk around the block but the right move would be a saunter up that grandiose staircase to the second floor that is currently showing the work of painter Yarek Godfrey.

No relation to Gilbert.
